Greatwall of China

I am savouring the rare chance of being alone in my room once again; i embrace the tranquility. But i do not wish to have too much of this either, i would get bored out of my mind. A lil' will do =)

Its time to update on my trip to greatwall! eh ya we went to the most commercialised part of it-Badaling --> tantamounts to bobbing heads and screaming hawkers everywhere. Was quite reluctant to go to that part of greatwall and hence i had no expectations out of it. Its pretty good, with that kind of no-expectation mindset i brought there, i got wowed by almost everything that i didnt expect.

There are two parts at badaling. The heavily travelled and the less travelled. We took the much travelled path on our way up and the slightly more dangerous path when returning.

Dorothy's dad got a driver for us that day toos. Poor "uncle" waited for us for 3 hours plus.. anyway that "uncle" is only like 6 years older than me but he really look like a 40 plus uncle. =x
oh well, after the greatwall, he drove us to some village to experience 农村菜.

we ordered these 窝头thingy which is a stable food in the past

red bean paste. Quite nice actually but one of these 窝头 will fill half ya stomach. recommended for people on diet, like me =D

cute not? i found diff sizes of eggyoke in the smashed chicken. The auntie told me all these are found in the body of a hen, meaning they are premature eggs.

Went shopping at Tian Yi yesterday again, along with dorothy's dad's fren. Didnt spend alot though, i am glad. Bought a bag at 40rmb, a makeup pouch for 25rmb, a hp pouch for 10rmb and 2 teddy bear at ( i dont want to say =p).

Doro's dad came to fetch us and we went for Baskin Robbins after that!! Its at the Lido hotel, the one that his dad stopped us on our second day of arrival in beijing. although i am on a diet, i told myself that a scoop wont kill.........

but instead of one scoop, dorothy bought this huge pin of icecream! its really huge, like a tub you know. and yanping bought her own scoop already. so basically doro and i shared this!!!!!! yeah some kind of diet eh..

this tub is about 15cm tall and 12 cm in circumference. and it costs 100rmb. i can buy 3 pairs of DECENT shoes and one handphone pouch w that amt.

anyway, at tian yi, dorothy and i were both overwhelmed by the wide array of soft toys!!!!!!!!! its like WOW alot of them and we have great fun going from stores to stores choosing the toys. After a long search, we settled on these. the piggies are bought by doro. she said they look like marc and herself .. actually i think so toos. =x

and these are for me and cj! heehee i know it is kinda too girlie for him but i dont careeeee... =p

time flies! its golden week next week! tmr the 3 of us will be heading to Tianjin to shop. 卢裕德 should be coming to find us. kinda weird ehs i have never met this person in my whole life. we are returning at nite to celebrate dorothy's birthday at some ktv place. =)=) Sunday i have makeup lessons and monday we will head off to mongolia. a total of 15 of us will be there!!! yeayie.. exciting. i shall start packing tonite. the person told us to bring lotsa thick clothing, the weather will be grrr-y cold there. update you guys again when i am back =)
