Now with Dorothy's arrival i guess fun is on its way toos. Geok will return to Singapore on Saturday. hehs happy for her toos~

Next week we will visit the greatwall of china, go for some cheap haircut recommended by dorothy's dad, and go yu he yuan. and shoppping!

opps.. Sorry people havent really been updating.. mr loh ( or is it lo or low =X) was asking me why i dont update my blog anymore.. .. .. So i better do so.

Realised too that i dont really post alot of photos of myself. you see, firstly, i dont know why but beijing air makes hair go flat. and hence i have bad hair day everyday and people who knows me well will know what is wrong with my ears. shrug* and secondly, i dont put on make up here and somehow i am getting whiter n whiter everyday and i forgot to bring my blusher............ so i wouldnt wanna scare people off with photos of some pale ghost.

come to think of it. its time for me to get pretty again (again?! =x) heehee.. tmr, tmr.

Hmms. since last sunday, geok and i have been to the pompei exhibition, some xuan wu men place and the ZOO...

Pompei exhibition:

seriously it was a big let-down. i expected more. i was intrigued by this place since i was in sec 1 when 1 day my sis came home and tell me that her teacher just showed them some town tt was buried under volcano ..err what u call that. volcano juice la huh (shrug) and what kinda position the people were in when they died and stuffs........ but the exbition just shows jewels and more and coins and chains and cups and plates and hairpin and spoon and fork.


only took a few photos because it wasnt allowed. all these were done before the security guy caught me. heehee






I do like the wall painting.. all these pieces were found on the excavated sites!!! still nicely preserved! woots

Somehow i love this part of beijing. more tranquil and more peaceful with the old folks flying kites and children having evening walk with their grandparents. really lovely..






Xuan Wu men :

Didnt do much there. was there just to take photos for our journalism photography assignment. We found wal-mart. and i brought my brown bread and an oat cereal! so happy!!


we are supposed to just take random pictures of people on the road.
This auntie was selling some baby shoes. it was kinda cute.

BEIJING ZOO:

went to the zoo with Qiuling and geok on sat. i was so excited and even wore some giraffe dress to go tgt with the theme of that day. Alas, both of them didnt seem that excited.. so i myself excited la huh nvm. pout. and sorry peeps somehow i have very shaky hands so alot of my photos came out BLUR.. urghhh

the panda house was our first stop. quite cute although they were dirty brown. hee

it was the tiger next.. its really huge.. i dont rem that tigers are this huge.. but they are kept in a smallllllll until cannot room. thats why u see the poor tiger looking darn bored.

By the way the zoo is not famous for its animal. its famous for the super cheapppp shopping areas ard it. and i swear by it. Qiuling brought us there and its easy to get lost. anyway, its a 批发市场, so they close at 530!! be sure to be early if u wanna catch the stalls. and if u wanna avoid the crowd. go at 5am. =)

hmmm went to church today. i enjoyed the service because its interesting- about sex (keke). oh yar! and the quite cute talented angmoh translator who is darn good in chinese and english and hebrew shook hand and said good morning to me...melts =X

This is the smaller hall.. normally we go to the larger one for the bilingual service. and that hall is really nice and all. next week i will take again okay.. haha dorothy will be here on tuesday!! Looking forward to her arrival vvvvvvv muchhhhhhh... maybe can ask her to go to the church toos =)

Sakuras~

Had a lil Spring outing with our advertising class yesterday. We went to Yu Yuan Tan again but it was so much more beautiful this time as most of the sakuras were already out. The bad thing is that, the people there outnumbered the sakuras. Nothing we could do thou.

Yeh.. This is us. From the left, Xu Kan, me, geok and Qiuling. Geok has bestowed me to XuKan, asking her to take care of me after she leaves. anyways, its really such a coincidence that XK has the same birthday as me!

Anyway we had a game of truth or dare as we had our pig out session under the falling sakuras. Darn funny. Qiuling were dared to stand into others picture while they were snapping.

There were still many funny dares. Like Xukan were asked to go and tell an ahma that she is darn chio. And QiuLing's cousin were asked to go lie down together with a guy who was resting on the grass. Geok chose truth and i asked her who she hated most in beijing and she said its the yoghurt woman at canteen 2 because she always AP her. ah yar right huh geok. ChRongmeng were asked to climb up to the top of the sakura tree. and he did it =XXXXXXX. I didnt have to do anything because i am darn pro in truth or dare. hahaha.

Anyways i bought a freaking nice wind mill (hee lazy to turn the photo ard) =)

Outside the park, while the others went to fly kite, Xukan and I were intrigued by this floor caligraphy thingy outside the park

Will be going for some dinner with the malaysians tonight.. yummys. And Dorothy will be coming over to Beijing next week for a total of 16 days! cool bah.. so i think we will be going to the greatwall and zoo together... haha finally geok and i can appear more often in the same photo. Ohs! and we are thinking of going Mongolia the coming weekend.... lets see what happens.
