Have posted a few photos on Freiburg, Lake Contanz and the Rheinfall in my previous entry, here's a few more t0 beef up this section of my trip!

Yey, my first excursion to another part of Germany!
And on the really comfy and spacious train.
Very unlike Singapore's. bleh
The upstream of the Rheinfall.
Ideal place to live in eh.

to take pictures for me. yeh, so now a decent pic with me.
After spending 4 hours touring my very first castle, BY MYSELF,
i went down to the streets which were bustling with life!
Picture taken from Philosophenweg.

On to Freiburg!
The Bachle that runs throughout the city centre.
uber cooling!!! love it!
Yummilicious ice-cream ( much needed!) in front of the Munster =)
Munster with its gothic archi (and a tiny plane!).
The interior of Munster.

People were sooo kind they volunteered

Up on the Munster
And the old citygate of Freiburg

Finally.... The unique hostel to rest our sore body that weekend.
The light house hostel at Lake Contanz
With the awesome view at the top floor.

Solo trip to Heidelberg
With only me for myself during weekdays, I ventured out to somewhere near to walldorf- Heidelberg!
So much so much in a lil quaint town. Castle, SHOPPING, river... woo.
I reached so early that day the street was almost empty!

View from the castle garden.
Beautiful river Neckar

Trying hard to take a pic with the castle- the agony of travelling alone! =(
The sliced up tower. I found it real intriguing! If only i could traverse the barrier and climb into this structure.....

A stark contrast to what i saw in the afternoon when i got down from the castle.

Hmm love Heidelberg. But that trip had me stay at home for the rest of the week due to a badbad infection. bah
And so after being a sick girl for 3-4 days, I was so excited when i recovered in time to go for my Koln trip! yiiwiie!
Tah-dah! I most magnificent structure i've ever seen in my life THUS far- the Dom.
Cj was practically sprawling on the ground to take this pic.
The interior. I want to get married HERE.

Standing on top of magnificent thingy that took
over 600 years to complete. wow.

Still on top.
On top of another building overlooking the Dom!
=)
And then it was dinner timee!!!
The famous famous kolsh beer. I thought it taste weird though.
Wurst + Sauerkraut + mash potatoe. The short black one, which is liver sausage if i rem correctly, tasted like shit.
-_-" It tasted like raw pig.
The sun was finally setting.... Nicey
My turn to sprawl on the floor!
But look at what the sun did on the Dom. Awesomeness.
And when the sky finally darkened,
our camera did NO justice to what stood high and mighty in front of us.

Next morning we left Koln and headed to St Goar for the castle! My second castle!
St Goar- a cozy lil town.

Couldnt possibly conquer a castle with our famished stomachs.. So lunch at
a restaurant in the castle!

And the alfresco overlooked the Rhine river!
Even the bee joined us.
YUMMY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Happy and satisfied. =)
yey. On to exploring!

not cheap at all.

a restaurant in the castle!

The castle at St Goar is soo soo sooo cool! EVERY nooks and crannies of it could be explored! I only remember seeing one " do not enter" sign because it was really dark and dangerous there. We gave some of the secret passage ways a miss because it was pitch dark and we didnt bring a torch along! What a pity!
