Germany is cool. I love the fairy-talish houses that make me feel like i am a character in Enid Blyton's book. I love the cobalt streets and attic roofs. I love the authentic looking churches with stained glass window, innumerous sculptures, clock tower and priest-looking priest (yeh, not those held in some conventional hall back home in S'pore (excl the priest, they still look authentic actually)).
Love the way the Germans treat beer like water/tea/coffee and the way their dig carbo-ridden pretzels/pasta/pizza.
By the way, i am staying in this really small and obscured town which would be easily forgotten if not for the SAP main. I find it hard to describe, but this place gives me an entirely different feeling from the other towns i went to- so cozy and ... gosh i will let the pictures tell the story once i get hold of them. so yeh wait for the next entry please!
Touched down on Friday Night and went out to the Rheinfall, Lake Contanz and Freiburg (oh and i am to marry a freiburger!) over the weekend.
(I don't have access to lotsa photos, so just some bit to make do for the moment)

the absence of the bobbing head phenomenon!

Look at those houses. Gosh, aint it like an idyllic place to stay?
Took a train (theres no crowd on trains as well, how cool??) to Lake constanz afterwards and found our hostel which is an ulu pandan light house-converted tower.
TAH DAH! I almost puked mozarella cheese when this tower came into view.
And guess what, theres no lift, and i got a room on the 8th floor.
The interior of the dorm which i shared with some Americans.
And my dinner-food that i couldnt help but to buy when i got into their supermarket for the first time. I was so freaking excited that i was acting like a dot.
But how could I not??? The mozzerella cheese costs 50 cents euros?!?!?!?!?! And thats equivalent to the fee one needs to pay to get into a macs toilet.. gosh.
I paid 8 sing for that pack just a few days ago.
Yoghurt at 25 cents Euros. coolest shites.

nway, the stupid hostel locked people out at 10PM broad daylight! We had a small misadventure that night when we missed our stop and alighted at the next one which was hell far away. Fortunately and unfortunately, some really frenly German saw that we missed our stop and pointed out a short-cut path to the tower. Alas, we got freaking lost in the woods (with super super authentic houses it was a shame i couldnt stop and admire) and very nearly missed the curfew. Had a good workout trashing about in the woods though. =X
Next day was Freiburg, a town just next to the famous blackforest.
These canals, which is used as irrigation channels in medieval time, can be found all over the old town.
The water is numbly cold and i couldnt helped but to play abit with it. I even stepped into it although rumours said that those who stepped into the canals would have to stay in freiburg and marry a Freiburger. gosh so funny.
The Munster. Real nice church, cant wait to see the one in Koln. =D
and the interior. Got to climb up to see the mechanics of the bells as well.
and lastly, blackforest cake! Almost missed it-its heavenlicious.
